Garibaldi Trio in a Stunning Visit

The Garibaldi Trio — a bold ensemble formed by pianist David Fung, violist Marina Thibeault, and clarinetist Jose Franch Ballester — delighted our audiences with works by composers of today. The fascinating compositions by Dobrinka Tabakova, Stephen Chatman, Jörg Widmann and Lowell Liebermann brought the KC audience to a standing ovation! Multiple interaction with students at area schools and even a visit by UMKC clarinet studio was a lovely addition to a jam-packed visit.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center on Tour visited us in a spectacular program entitled “Virtuoso Winds.” The guest artists Anne-Marie McDermott (piano), Adam Walker (flute), James Austin Smith (oboe), David Shifrin (clarinet), Radek Baborák (horn), and Marc Goldberg (bassoon) delighted our audience at Yardley Hall (Midwest Trust Center). In addition, James Austin Smith worked extensively with the UMKC Oboe Studio.
