The Young Artist Project (YAP) is a program for dedicated young musicians, designed to hone their passion for chamber music. The Spring 2025 YAP Session is open to string and piano players ages 10-20.

Your ensemble’s weekly warm-up, coaching, and rehearsal will take place on each of the Saturdays above at one of the following times:
- Morning Session: 9:45 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Session: 12:45 PM – 4:00 PM
Session assignments will be determined based on student and coach availability.
Schedule:
Morning Session:
- Warm-up before coaching: 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM
- Coaching: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- Post-coaching Rehearsal: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Afternoon Session:
- Warm-up before coaching: 12:45 PM – 1:30 PM
- Coaching: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
- Post-coaching: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Tuition:
$400 per student
note that the Friends of Chamber Music offer full scholarships to four selected chamber ensembles each session.
Audition Video Requirements:
To apply, submit 1–2 solo video recordings that best showcase your abilities and musicianship.

Please note that placement in an ensemble is not guaranteed as it depends on the applicant pool. Key considerations include, but is not limited to: balance of instrumentation based on repertoire, match of skill levels, scheduling availability, etc.
If accepted, tuition payment of $400 will be billed prior to the start of the session (unless you are selected for the FCMKC YAP Scholarship).
