Brett Robison Appointed as New Executive Director of FCMKC

Friends of Chamber Music Kansas City Welcome Brett Robison as Executive Director.

Kansas City, August 3, 2023 - The Friends of Chamber Music Kansas City (FCMKC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brett Robison as the organization's new Executive Director. With his extensive experience in the arts and his deep passion for chamber music, Robison brings a fresh perspective and dynamic leadership to one of Kansas City’s most esteemed cultural institutions.

As the Executive Director, Robison will serve as chief administrative officer of FCMKC, working alongside the Artistic Directors Dmitri Atapine and Hyeyeon Park with a particular focus on fostering artistic excellence, expanding community engagement and education initiatives, and ensuring the long-term future of the organization.

With over ten years of experience in arts administration, Robison has a glowing track record of success in the field. He has held leadership positions at Scottsdale Music Arts in Scottsdale, AZ. and the Topeka Symphony in Topeka, KS, where he has demonstrated a keen ability to develop innovative programming, forge meaningful partnerships, and engage diverse audiences. His collaborative approach and commitment to artistic integrity make him an ideal choice for this important role.

Robison's love for chamber music has been a driving force throughout his career and he deeply believes in the transformative power of the art form. “I have seen first hand in my over twenty five years in the field of music performance and music education the ability music has to awaken our creativity and humanity,” said Brett Robison. “Music has the power to build community and reach those places inside of us that yearn to be expressed. I am honored to serve the Friends of Chamber Music Kansas City and to help continue the incredible legacy of this cultural pillar of the Kansas City metro.”
